Our tasks
BioTech-IP Technology Transfer Office is the first point of contact for companies interested in carrying out contract research in Ochota Biocentre institutes and for scientists wishing to find buyers for their inventions and technologies protected by patents in areas such as biotechnology, biomedicine, bioinformatics, bioengineering, material technologies and bionanotechnology.
Our task is:
- to encourage creative and entrepreneurial attitude in the academic environment by supporting creative activities and to promote the commercial exploitation of research results.
- to raise awareness of the importance of intellectual property protection among academics through series of scouting and promotional activities.
- to search for and to verify research projects with a strong commercial potential as well as commercializition through spin-off companies formation or licensing of technologies to industrial partners.
- to support spin-off companies created by researchers commercializing research results and technologies generated by the Ochota Biocentre institutes.
- to initiate science-business networking activities and to get in contact with business angels, venture funds and business institutions.
- to promote special services offered by Ochota Biocentre.
